Switch is doing better than both wiiu/3ds. Same as ps4 to ps3. Why? Both companies are in a much better position as the previous gens bleed then a ton of money.

You can bet your ass off nintendo is much more happier with switch as a "hybrid" selling less than 3ds in units (launch align) or even your unfair wiiu/3ds combine when switch isnt selling for a lost and is taking the marketshare (talking japan since this is a japan thread so lets not go with WW).

 

If you want to be fair too then ps3 is actually selling more than ps4 launch align. Exclude ps4 pro 500k sales and its down (your words "traditional" home console while ps4 is a "mid gen upgrade" console
