Do we even know what info he has access to? Wasn't he the one saying the consoles were so close last month, any of them could win? I don't think his info correlates with the country very well.

If Amazon and Gamestop are any thing to go by, Switch will be #1 this month, followed not too far behind by PS4, with the XBO coming in a distant 3rd.  They both have the 2 Switch SKUs in the lead, with 2-3 PS4 SKUs not too far behind.

Of course, we'll have to see the affect B&M stores have, since last month they gave PS4 a huge victory.

I believe he has access to half the Best Buy sales in the country. If true it correlates as much if not more than these charts. He said Xbox and PlayStation would be very close and that apears true. At one point he said any could win but thought Nintendo would be last. He mentioned a few times PS4 was doing best. At one point he even said there was a decent chance switch wouldn't break 1 million.

So everything he said was right besides when he said any of the 3 could win, but even that statement usually came with a ' but Nintendo probably 3rd).

I doubt he's that high up that he can see nationwide data for Best Buy.  Maybe a region, but not the whole country.

And he said all 3 were close.  The Switch sold half of what the PS4 did, making a ~800K gap.  And the gap between the PS4 and XBO was ~200K-300K (best case scenario it is only a 100K gap.)  His info is not good when comparing it to the whole of the US.  I'd also imagine that when it comes to video games, BB makes up an extremely small % of sales.  And I'm going to guess it's much smaller than Amazon's.  There is a reason they bought Twitch.
