I understand that you're not a portable gamer. I just don't see what's stopping you from playing BOTW and Oddysey docked on your TV. Why would you be bothered that you can take those games with you wherever you go as well? How is that "bad for consumers"?

I don't like getting in details here cause some people are going to say I'm a hater and attack me probably. I hope not.

And again this is just my perspective.

But the thing is, BOTW while not too bad graphically speaking is not perfect either, it has aliasing for example, it runs at 900p if I remember correctly it has some dips in frame rate etc. This is not the game's fault, this is the hardware's. And the hardware is great as portable hardware of course but it's not doing as good in docked mode as it could have done if it had been on dedicated home hardware. The Tegra chip is specifically made for portable systems.

My point is if Nintendo had released both a portable and a dedicated hardware as they have ALWAYS done in the past, BOTW and Mario Odyssey would have been obviously made for the home system and the graphic issues would most likely not exist as historically speaking Nintendo has always been impeccable with their home made games on their dedicated hardware. And as a personal choice I would have liked that better rather than a hybrid system. If at least this hybrid system had had significant extra processing power by adding processors in the dock itself, that could have taken care of the issue too in my opinion.

Just to be clear cause there is going to be some who will misunderstand what I'm saying: I'm NOT saying BOTW is bad as a game, it's actually one of the best games of the year, I am only talking about graphic issues due to the limitations of the Tegra 1 chip.
