Quest codes for invites - Why not just have your username be the term people use to search for? Or just have a normal invite system like any other game where you can set a private lobby (which you can here) and then invite people from your friends list, or just enter their name? No random people will be able to join your game if you set it to private, so I don't understand why they are using codes. |
This is the exact reason it became not purchasable game for me at this stage. I was going to get a copy day 1 (and either buy two of my friends a copy, or convince them) but now have shifted to Black Friday of 2018.
It took too long to set up things with friends, and you constantly have to do it for each mission. This is like friends codes but for missions, in fact it is worse than friend codes, since it requires letters (lower case and upper case) and numbers. Even the Wii version of the franchise was easier to set up. This is a game I heavily play with my real life friends, and it requires too much effort to set up anything.
My honest impressions of the gameplay it self, is that while annoyance above has jaded me, I do think it is solid. Some of the controller mapping options is questionable, but when you get the hang of it, it is pretty much monster hunter you love.
