Yes, i am sure he said nothing about Sony ceding Japan. You should read that post again, he says Nintendo dominates again and they made a smart decision by going with the Switch concept. He says zero things about Sony ceding Japan in that post and his follow up post said they ceded the handheld market, not Japan.

Megiddo's initial post is certainly wrong. Switch is the opposite of Nintendo ceding market to Sony. It's the biggest threat Sony has ever faced.
Consumers don't look at the situation as "I want a home console," they look at it as "I want to play games on my TV." That makes Switch as viable of a choice for gaming on TV as the PS4.
