That's a launch title compared to the sales of consoles on the market for 7 years already.  By your logic, Xbox 360 Madden series should have been cancelled after the dismal sales of Madden NFL 06 which couldn't even beat the PSP and barely surpassed the dying Gamecube:

Again, by the same logic, the PS3 Madden series should have been cancelled after it's dismal debut in 2006 when it likewise was outsold by the PSP and original Xbox.  Unlike the 360, the PS3 version could not even outsell the Gamecube which had already been replaced at that point:

I reiterate my point that the Nintendo Switch is "the hot tech buy" in North America right now.  NA is Madden's largest market.  There is "0" reason to not even try to release a single Madden title on Nintendo Switch.  That .23 million Madden sales on Wii U was to a global install base of only 2.2 million.  There wasn't even a million Wii U owners in NA at that time.  Over 7.63 million Switches were sold by October 31st.  2.3 million Switches were sold in the US alone by October 7th.  Madden's annual sales are slumping.  Are you telling me it makes more financial sense for EA to ignore an entire platform than to release a game who's 70% of sales come from a market that said platform is currently in highest demand?

And for what reason are we ignoring the hot seller Wii that moved 1/4 of PS3 Madden 2013? Do we need to reiterate that mostly 3rd parties sell a lot lower on Nintendo platforms than elsewhere and the one that should convince they to release games there is Nintendo instead of 3rd parties making loss to satisfy you?

Also, games aren't made in weeks, so How would they guess Switch would have good sales and prepare the game for the current launch?

Let's bring multiplats releasing at the moment on all 3 and see how Switch version is doing in USA?

Which of these non-Nintendo published games are doing hot on the USA market where Switch is mega hot?

Games ain't made in weeks, sure, but from the time where it was obvious the Switch wouldn't do nearly as bad as the Wii U they could have started on working on ports for the next season's games. it had been repeatedly said that porting to the Switch is very easy to do, so this wouldn't be too much hassle. Yet we still haven't heard about EA bringing any other game to the Switch, though that can still change. Let's see what EA will do in the next months and then judge again.

I'm pretty sure most of the third party games right now on the Switch are much rather downloaded than bought in stores, as they are mostly smaller games. The bigger games are just starting to roll out, and they should do much better in retail. Fifa also should climb the ranks in the next weeks and months despite being a subpar port.
