Launch ps3 drew more power than launch ps4, launch Xbox 360 drew roughly the same as launch xbox one, with Xbox 360 slim actually drawing more.

So you're using last gen consoles in comparison because if power consumption? Really?

In reality you are using this gems skyrim build when it suits your argument (look how much better it looks than the 360 and ps3 versions!) and then if someone says, but it's a current gen version of the game on a current gen system, you revert to, yeah but that's not fair because handheld and less powerful.

Yes, the switch is less powerful, that's why it's version of skyrim looks the worse, mystery solved.

Reality is if someone has a pc, xbox one or ps4, switch offers the worst version of the game, pointing to last gen consoles and saying but look it's better than them, is pointless, because the current gen version of the game already looks better on the newer systems too.

Yeah, if you only look at gaming in terms of graphics that is true. But you have to realize that hardcore gamers are only a small subset of the gaming population. For a considerable amount of people this is just not important (look at standard PS4 vs Pro sales). To me, portability is a huge factor and well worth the trade-off and according to Nintendo's market data that's the case for most Switch owners as most of them play a lot in handheld mode. I never would've considered buying Skyrim for the PS4 again but I bought the Switch version day one because it's portable.

Same goes for the Joy-Con discussion: Hardcore gamers think the Joy-Cons are inferior. But they are one of the biggest features of the console. I've played Tetris, Bomberman and Mario Kart in tabletop mode countless times with my girlfriend and some of my friends. Back when I only had 4 Joy-Con we used them sideways to play Mario Kart and nobody complained because everyone had the same controller. And again, the market data (high Switch sales, lots of handheld use) shows that most people think like that.
