Net-juu no Susume...well it makes sense why things why characters were finding out things so fast. Time to add a new layer of misunderstandings! I suppose Sakura-chan will make another avatar...otherwise Morimori is going to figure it out already. Though wait...now I guess...he doesn't think she's her anymore...so maybe the shoe is on the other foot? *head sizzles*
Should be interesting. Kowai-san is basically me whenever I try to get into an MMO. For better or worse (I guess just worse).
Outside of regular seasonal stuff, I've been watching a few shows in my finished anime backlog. This last week I finished both Kimi no Na wa and Pet Girl of Sakurasou.
I went into Kimi no Na wa blind, but heard the incredible hype around it. First 40 minutes or so were good...but didn't really get why people raved about it so much, seemed like a cute body swap story around characters in different towns. Well...then I got to the Itoumori reveal..and wow...everything after that was like a punch to the gut. I was amazed at how well everything linked together, and every little tangent came back in some way before the end. Absolutely amazing movie, and I can recommend it anyone, regardless of how much anime they watch.
Pet Girl was delightful! It's a few years old, but for anyone that's not familiar with it, it basically follows an art student asked to look after a world-renowned artistic savant who is basically helpless on her own, and follows their character growth. Overall, it was a great comedy, and I loved the tsukomme/boke dynamic of the main duo. The eventual drama was well done I thought, though a bit exaggerated at times, but all the characters were easy to connect with, and made the story that much more relatable. The only issues I had was the love triangle that wasn't really a love triangle...but it's still preferable to a harem set-up I guess. Still annoying how it was basically open in the end even after Nanami rejects herself and Sorata confesses to Mashiro.
While I liked the main duo/pairing a lot, my favorite pairing was actually a side ship in this one. I loved how these two were exact polar opposites, and yet understood each other on a deeper level than anyone else.
