Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is going to keep on selling for a very long time, it may even have a chance at being the Switch's best selling title. And since it's a port, it'll arguably be the easiest money Nintendo has ever made. So, why would they screw it up with a new entry on the same system?

Thanks for arguing for corporate interests and not gamers interests ....

Your interests. I have no interest in a new Mario Kart game already. I'm perfectly fine with having one Mario Kart game, the best one in the series no less, to last me the Switch's life cycle and wait for Mario Kart 9 on Nintendo Switch 2, where they would be capable of doing much more on a system that is capable of doing much more.

For now, I'd rather they do other things, come up with new IPs or revive old ones that would have a good chance at being successful on the Switch. Getting Mario Kart 9 instead would be a massive disappointment.
