I'm talking retention rates. There are a lot of studies out there if you want to learn about them. The majority of people move on rather quickly. COD Ghosts, for instance, had at one point on PS4 more 20,000 users online. Now? Four years later? It's under 1,000. That's 1/20th of it's user base gone. 

There's a reason DLC exists and it's BECAUSE these publishers know that people abandon games quickly and want to stem the tide as much as possible.
