I think they're gonna focus on Switch for a really, really long time. Maybe seven years.

Next would be a redesign for the system.

Next year there will be Metroid Prime 4, for the hardcore gamers. But mainstream considered, they'll probably focus on Pokemon. Also there's gonna be A LOT of good things coming from third parties. As long as the world doesn't have trouble with war and whatnot, it's gonna be a good year for Nintendo.

After the Switch I think most likely there will be new technology. Not VR, I'm convinced that thing will never be mainstream. Nintendo will be at a fork in the road, either they find an idea that will award them another generation of success. Or they follow up the Switch and do another iteration of it without a real innovation like they did with the Wii U. Either way it is a good thing to enjoy the moment if you like Nintendo and enjoy the times when they're popular, this is a good time. It's unreasonable to expect this every generation, eventually even the almighty Sony will need air, and you can only get it by descending the mountain.
