...I’m not sure what point you are trying to make with the Jaguar CPU. The Xbox One and PS4 are both significantly more powerful than the Switch. That’s not even a question. Even if the CPUs in those systems were initially designed for portable devices, the CPUs in the actual console are significantly better than what the Switch is packing, and in terms of GPUs, the systems are the equivalent of a mid-range PC, something the Switch doesn’t even approach.
Also, going from 720p in portable mode to 900p in tv mode isn’t exactly indicative of their being a significant difference. I mean, the systems screen resolution tops out at 720p, so there isn’t a reason to go for a higher resolution in portable mode even if they wanted to. As for Doom...well, docked mode DOES display a higher resolution, and I certainly can’t think of a better example of a PS4/Xbone port on the Switch.
If Rocket League does sport similarly resolution to Doom, we are probably simply seeing the current limits of the Switch’s ability to render games from higher end console hardware.

The Switch is a portable that can effectively play current gen games on the go. Resolution was never a major factor. It is a large step about the PS360 which also had cross gen ports for a while. Most 3rd party games can run well enough on Switch with a little compensation. What you fail to realize is that both versions can co exist.
You want the full HD versions? Get it on the PS4 or X1. You want best performance, get it on PC.
If you want a portable version of a current gen multiplat game on the go with the option of playing on the TV? Get it for Switch. Like many others, the entire concept of the Switch seems to go over your head.

Um...I own a Switch, I own this game, and I’ve been defending it as a good port, given the limitations of the hardware, in my posts here. I think you’ve misread something. XD
