Because Sony/Microsoft abuse the fact they have a monopoly on digital sales for their systems. You either pay their price or you don't get it digitally.

Disgusting really, but that's what they do. Would probably be even higher if digital were the only way to buy it, yet some people want digital only consoles... why?
