XB is making sure the performance narrative goes away now, and doesn't come back. Now all they have to do is fix their games problem. New and more first party exclusives are necessary to some degree, and third party exclusivity to XB2, or no exclusivity to any console, is what XB2 needs to accomplish. XB is stopping the leak, and refilling the tank now. Redesigning their ecosystem, especially in terms of games, should happen when XB2 launches. Should happen, but it might not. But MS have already said that they will now be releasing their games on both the XBox and PC.

Let's not go down the XB said trail. It's a bumpy One that constantly deviates.

And yet still no EA Access...

Or XBL cross play. PS clearly wants their PS4 ecosystem to be exclusive in terms of more than just games. As exclusive as possible anyway.

PS3   - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.

PS4   - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
