Strongly disagree. Looking back at GameCube graphics now, the console has aged very poorly. Nintendo doesn’t need huge leaps in hardware, but it’s still good that they are improving.
OT: It really depends on where Nintendo goes from, more specifically what they mean by “non-traditional games”. I think Nintendo has more or less found their comfort zone, but it would be nice to see something like a Twlight Princess-style Zelda title with insanely detailed and realistic graphics.
Even with their current style, there’s always room for improvement; DF said SMO is a beautiful game, but even it has some technical drawbacks, like the blurred draw distance or use of 2D models from afar.
