Couldn't agree more. March NPD had both systems close to 260k. April had them both at 188k. And now in May PS3 sells 208k while 360 sells 187k.
So to recap with weekly averages assuming an even spread throughout the month:
March (5 weeks): PS3 (51k/week) 360 (52k/week)
April (4 weeks): PS3 (47k/week) 360 (47k/week)
May (4 weeks): PS3 (52k/week) 360 (47k/week)
Yea GTA was a huge system seller!
Note: I'm not doubting GTA's effect on people's decisions to buy a console. I do believe GTA was a reason many picked up an HD console recently. However Crazzy using recent NPD data to come to that conclusion is .... well crazzy. =) =) =)
