European software charts from GfK usually show Switch games in the top 10 for the week/month (GfK has no universal format for all European countries), so there's no reason to think that Switch is doing poorly in Europe. Proportionally, it's doing worse in Europe than in America and Japan, but there are no worrying signs. Proportionally across Europe itself, the UK has a lower presence of Switch software, but that's the result of Xbox One being a factor there as opposed to mainland Europe where Microsoft is stuck in the mud. Long story short, VGC estimates can't be trusted equally across all regions, so there shouldn't be too much read into them. |
Yeah, I've heard VGC isn't that reliable but it makes a lot of sense that Europe would be less reliable with no media create or NPD to base results on.
