It would only be "possibly" successful if it came before Smash 4.5/5 released (more so before Smash is announced). It would have done even better had it released the same time on switch. Personally, I don't see the point?
Injustice 1 got 3.84 million (great numbers) with 190,000 sales on Wii U (also late release).
Injustice 2 got 1.44 million (decent, but much worse). I wouldn't be surprised if that drop off was bad enough that they chose to let that series die.
