No, they wouldnt. Nor did Jar Jar ruin TPM and Ewoks RotJ. One is a movie with so many other problems that when people complain about Jar Jar 'ruining' anything I wonder if there's something wrong with them. Ewoks were also poorly handled, but by George's own admission they were there to sell toys. Porgs, no idea. But they can't ruin the movie. If there's an issue with them, its a symptom of a much larger issue
