Those are fairly significant post-launch bumps, and I'm just curious what came out? I'll assume, as far as week 3, it merely had something to do with hardware supply (they sold less than 100k the week before), so it seems to be either a massive dump of hardware or some weird alignment issue that's raising the total for that week. The week 6 (and really, weeks 5 and 7, too as they seem to have a pre & post bump of their own) numbers are a bit more interesting and stand out, so I'm just wondering if anybody knows exactly what came out at that time and what was responsible for the increase in sales...? |
Those aren't post-launch bumps, those are just standard holiday weeks. PS4 launched in the middle of November. Week 3 was Black Friday week, and Week 6 was the week before Christmas.
