Some yeah, most of the xbox ones sold here are to American military stationed here, as evidenced by second hand shops getting large stocks of used consoles each time a groups deployment is over.
Of course there's also casual japanese gamers that buy it, usually those gamers are more interested in western titles.
For the record some Bic Camera stores still have day one edition stock for the original console.
