With big budget TV being as popular as it is and Disney going all out with the Marvel TV shows, it's only a matter of time.
What to expect -

"Old Republic" TV Show
Depending on the popularity of these, they will probably expand and go for something pre-Phantom Menace. Don't expect to see the Clone Wars, or anything around the original trilogy - Those stories will be kept to animation.
