Reading all these impressions always makes me feel a bit left out. I bought Zelda with my Switch back in April and it just doesn't do it for me. I can acknowledge the excellence of the work put into the game, but the actual game world just hasn't ignited any sort of fascination or wonder in me yet. I think part of me simply craves a story, and Zelda just doesn't provide a narrative that interests me. The combat, as well, is good, but not exceptional (again, IMO) and the game just hasn't captured me the way I was hoping it would after reading the reviews and impressions.

The problem is your refusal to play the game on TV.

Ha ha, that could be. Damn my Switch for feeling great as a handheld. I did play it on my projector for a bit, but I think I may just prefer combat and story over the joy of exploration. Still, I'll try it on one of my smaller TVs to see if that helps :)
