See... the thing Switch is coming up to it's holiday season while PS4 already had it's. Although part of the PS4's second holiday season is included right at the end so it could easily keep back ahead once Switch hits January. But the answer to how many Switch units Nintendo will ship during the holiday season is rather unknown, they could stick to their forcast of 12.7 million shipped by the end of March 2018 or increase it like they did in the Switch's launch month.
But Switch closing the gap against PS4 in the future weeks only makes sense, it'd be quite bad if it didn't as it draws closer and closer to it's holiday season.
