Yes, but in those markets you can buy for 150$ a second-hand laptop with Windows on it. Windows is not as expensive as it used to it. Hell I never had to buy a Windows licence as I always had one lying around from a PC/Laptop purchase. Again, it's not impossible to make Linux mainstream, but I am not seeing it happening in the next 15-20 years, not with the ammount of cash MS has for R&D and advertisement.
