I can't pretend I've played every modern open world game out there, but this is the first in its genre to keep engaged enough to play through to the end right away. The entire world just felt so immersive, I've never had a game grip me like this one did. Two hours sessions became 4 hour sessions became all night sessions; it was just a game I couldn't stop playing.
Easily my GOTY...and probably in my top 5 as well...if I took the time to really compare my favorite games across genres.
