It's not about it being a traditional game .... quite frankily i'm sick of any criticism of the game being leveled at it as "from fanboys who can't change their tune".

I didn't even play Ocarina or Majora till July so I obviously am not a fanboy of the old games. It's just that the content in the game can be lacking. Clearly the Zelda developers themselves wanted their to be dungeons in the game, since the divine beasts act as dungeons. However, they're not exactly good dungeons. Very novel but not very good either.

And yes, i've tried all those games ... their dungeons are nothing like Zelda dungeons. Very odd comparison. I think it would be nice to have story sidequests. They don't even have to be restrictive like other games, just something with some cool stuff.

Just my opinion though. Still a great game. I will probably replay it from the beginning and actually finish it this time ... so 200hrs by the end of this year, lmao

The experience of getting yourself do the dungeon is a lot more fun than the dungeon itself. When I was doing Vah Ruta... I had to face a Lynel on top of Plymous Mountain. I could have snuck past him... but I wasted all my weapons and my arrows to just barely kill him off. That's been one of my favorite experiences from the game. Having to seal surf in Vah Naboris was pretty great too.

I agree. I don't think that's a problem with the dungeon structure but with the game however. Actually, there was at least one time going to a dungeon was very boring for me. It was too easy and didn't last long enough. That's kind of true for all them but it made this one especially bad.
