Please try and make a good argument against my statement instead please. Infact I'll do it for you since I find it fun to discuss all kinds of stuff.
There are benefits over Switch when it comes to buying indie games on steam for example; you can have all your games in the one place and can play them on pc windows device. Some other platforms may have better exclusive indie games to certain people or such as if you love VR indie games which would be impossible on Switch. Maybe with Xbox and Playstation's subscription service you can get free indie games every month which could be seen as a better place for playing indies due to value.
I mean I didn't say in all cases, if you can't get the game for any better value, content, graphics, controls, etc, elsewhere Switch is the best platform for them due to portability in my opinion.

What about people who don't care about portability?

That too, but I don't understand those that don't. Even you just use it in your house, it's great to be able to both all over the place in any room and still play your game. Besides it's likely if you own a Switch in the first place your going to be using the portability of it and for most indie games at least, there is not much downside to it. Isn't it just equal grounds then? I guess it would be just which eco-system or controller you prefer.
I wasn't 100% agreeing with the OP anyways, that's why I just said as system to play them on.
