As a system to play them on yes. It's like a handheld and home console game in one. There is almost no reason in most cases to buy indie games on another platform when you get the exact same experience with the added portable functionality. (Especially since a lot of indie games don't heavily drain your battery)

Is this what we have to look forward to this generation?

And this is why I dont like when Nintendo does well. Any moderate success is instantly turned into some massive hyperbole like this threads premise

No kidding...

Please try and make a good argument against my statement instead please. Infact I'll do it for you since I find it fun to discuss all kinds of stuff.

There are benefits over Switch when it comes to buying indie games on steam for example; you can have all your games in the one place and can play them on pc windows device. Some other platforms may have better exclusive indie games to certain people or such as if you love VR indie games which would be impossible on Switch. Maybe with Xbox and Playstation's subscription service you can get free indie games every month which could be seen as a better place for playing indies due to value.

I mean I didn't say in all cases, if you can't get the game for any better value, content, graphics, controls, etc, elsewhere Switch is the best platform for them due to portability in my opinion.
