+ If you actually played the game, thia could be considered as a reimagining of Metroid II. It's vastly different from the original and AM2R.

It's still just taking an older game and remaking it. The greatest Metroid game ever (Super Metroid) was made internally. When Nintendo is properly motivated, no one can touch them when it comes to 2D Metroid. I'd love to see them try a new one.
