It's probably a willingness to give more leeway to ports from a system that sold 13 million consoles lifetime, where a much smaller pool of people were even exposed to the game. Compared to ports of games from systems that sold over 85 million consoles lifetime, where basically everyone was exposed to it already. It's apples to oranges. Now, if Sony got flak for it while Microsoft didn't, that would be a more ironic comparison.
That said, I already have Bayonetta 2 on Wii U, so I wouldn't feel the need to repurchase just because it's on my Switch.
