Well the number is shipped, not sold. Usually that distinction isnt important to make but considering it only sold like 80k first week, it is. It's at 111k in 2 weeks, so it will probably take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks just to sell 200k physical in Japan. All things considered, a flop

Fair to note, it has pretty high digital sales. First week shipments were ~172k, putting it digitally at 28k in Japan. It is pretty overshipped though, so now we just have to see if it has decent legs so Capcom has to ship more to retailers. But it's MH on a portable, it'll be fine.

I just thought, what if those digital numbers are so high because people outside of Japan are buying it through the Japanese eShop? 🤔 Probably a very small percentage, but that would be pretty cool. Region free ftw!
