In the Aftermath series, the main characters were all female - there were adult males in the party, one of which was gay, and they spent a lot of time focusing on his love life. Add it up with the fact that the two movies out so far both have female leads (and the only white male was supposed to die before rewrites - Poe) and it becomes more and more obvious what's going on. It wouldn't suprise me if Luke turning dark has something to do with this as well. |
Kathleen Kennedy has hired like 6 different directors for Star Wars ... they're all freaking men.
Can we drop that stupidity? The director who directs IX is 98% likely going to be a man. She just hired Ron Howard to take over the Han Solo picture.
George Lucas is more liberal than anyone, and his reported draft for this sequel trilogy also had a woman as the main character.
Trevorow is fired likely because he was writing shit and had bad ideas. Dude has done nothing but one Jurassic Park movie that anyone could've directed. The recent film he did on his own flopped and got terrible reviews, he never should've been given the job of wrapping up a main Star Wars trilogy picture to begin with.
