Every smartphone, tablet in the world has NAND flash and they all manage without running into such headaches. 

Well even apple had problems with stocking the iphone 7.

And samsung doesn't give a ghit cause they are the only hardware maker thats self sufficient.

Also yes ninty COULD increase production... if they raise the price to 350$ and give said 50 to the component makers.

More likely they were dumb enough to lock themselves into a component deal with the same supplier that makes for Apple specifically. 

And of course Apple is going to get priority in that situation, they ship more in a month than Nintendo (or Sony) does in a year. Video game consoles are small potaotes. 

There are hundreds of millions of phones/tablets/devices with NAND that aren't made by Apple or Samsung from dozens of other suppliers but it likely does Nintendo no good because they are locked in to whatever deal they signed.
