Yeah that's exactly why the series is so valuable in my opinion; it brought some much needed variety to a lineup otherwise dominated entirely by kid-friendly cartoons. Which is also why its a shame to see them go the toon route visually; Nintendo really need to have at least one franchise with a mature look. Well, we still have Retro game to be announced, and outside of DK, they have leaned more on more mature kind of graphics.But yeah, I also think that Nintendo shhould diversify more their portifolio of "appeals".

That's the thing though, given their last two games and Nintendo's current trends I expect their game to be a cartoon as well, which will leave their first party lineup awfully homogenous.
