Pokemon will eventually show up on pther platforms when Nintendo inevitably falls. And for the rabid fans, no, that doesn't mean they'll fall today, tomorrow, next week, or even next year. But eventually all companies die, and Nintendo is not immune to that. And when it does die, the rights to Pokemon will most definitely be bought by a different company and games will appear on that platform, new or old or both

The only way that Nintendo could "fall" is in a situation where Pokémon has no value as an IP anymore.

Time is the killer of all things. I think the issue is you treat "fall" like it's a bad thing. Go out of business, I'm not sure what term would have been best without a distraction to the main point

Does this mean we could get Uncharted on a Nintendo console when Sony inevitably falls?

Sony will definitely be gone before Nintendo. So, maybe! But I fail to see how that is revelant

Of course. That would be his answer.

But the real flaw in StarOcean's post is the assumption that everything has to end with the worst case scenario. He might as well say that all VGC members eventually get (perma)banned, and nobody is immune to that. That too would be an assumption that mismanagement is inevitable.

It's not the worst case scenario. I could have said "not around anymore" but then it'd be like Im talking about a person
