HL2 for me was a disappointment, it had a dark tone inlike the first game, and somehow felt lifeless despite all that graphical detail, and I hated those disgusting slimy alien spiders.
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.
