Ah, but there ARE no FMV/prerendered cutscenes in FFXV. Or exceptionally few. They run in real time. Now they could make videos out of those but now you have potential file size issues.
Now yes, I agree that if they have plans for XV, they likely have potential plans for FFVIIRe and the remasters. But those are all on engines the Switch can theoretically handle at lower settings. XV is the odd ball of SE's big titles, the only one built on an engine that has never run on anything lower than Xbone and PS4 and had development issues so it isn't the world's easiest toolset. But maybe it is more flexible than we thought. Or maybe they DO rebuild it in UE4, since FFVIIRe is using it and has foundational similarities. Those are, in my mind, the most likely options.
