Mario Japanese sales and Odyssey

Upon checking DB sales I think it is very possible.

However:

• only 2 home consolse 3D Mario games passed 1 mil. and Galaxy 1 on Wii sold just over 1.2 mil (the other one being SM64 with 1.91 mil sold)
• the lowest 3D Mario on home console is SM3DWorld 0.75
• this means that even with low selling consoles Mario sales are fairly constant and not much related to console attached rate

2D Mario games however have a much higher attached rate and in close relation to console popularity - next 2D Mario on Switch should do 1 mil very easily as easy as NSMWii imo.

Since I do not see any portable benefit in Mario Odyssey just yet.

By when do you think Mario Odyessey will reach 1 mil sales in Japan alone?

Super Mario 3D Land sales in Japan - 2.15 million, making it the best selling 3D Mario game in that region.

There's the benefit.
