Anime Backlogs are the reason why I watch anime 1 at a time, and not until the seasons are fully released. That way when I do find time, I spam that show until finish. Technically I have an eternal backlog, and it can't ever be conquered. But at least I can just say I have 13 episodes to watch and then move on to the next 13 or so. |
Switching from full seasons to ongoing ones was a measure I took to increase my watching speed. It's way easier for me to watch one episode at a time. When I see a long list I get intimidated and watch less or not at all. That's one of the reasons why why a big backlog is keeping me from watching more.
Every weekend I say to myself to just power through it but so far I always got distracted. I just can't watch too many episodes at a time. While watching anime is a lot of fun, gaming always wins out because it's more interactive and occupies more of my senses at a given time. I can't binge watch a full season in a day like I did when I started watching animes anymore. Hell, I can't even sit through a whole anime movie without taking a break.
I feel like my life needs some serious reconstruction.
