They would have known way before 4 months if the Wii U version was going to be cancelled or not. 4 months is when they enter debugging stage. If I was a games company, I wouldn't release it on Wii u either whats the point. I loved my Wii u but yeah that consoles done, hence why I've moved onto Switch, but I can understand why some people esp backers would be PISSED.
