If Nintendo can get inside out tracking to work in 3 years for a small price then sure. Otherwise it's just another glorified 360 3D viewer. Motion control is only half the battle.
The current 720p screen might be a bit low, but 1080p is already good enough for stylized games. So with a revision that adds a camera for inside out tracking next to a 1080p screen would be VR ready. You might not get any better visuals than mario galaxy or any other wii game, yet those should have no problem running on Switch in VR.
It all depends on ease of use, (no extra wires, simple headset) price and high quality tracking whether it can really catch on. All things that psvr lacks. (and still sells and provides a lot of fun already) The headset add-on shouldn't cost more than a controller yet with everything contained in a switch revision that shouldn't be a problem. Reliable tracking without external sensors is the real obstacle.
