The Switch is very expensive in Europe (like $50 more expensive than the rest of the World?), combined with shortages. And coming from Wii U and 3DS, which sold miniscule amounts in the UK... It'll be an uphill battle to regain marketshare there for Nintendo.

Even for Europe, the UK market has had a very chilly reception to the Switch.

Despite being a larger gaming market in absolute terms, the UK has only purchased 75% as many Switch units as Germany, and 66% as many as France. The Switch has done much worse in the UK in terms of both marketshare and as a proportion of the country's population.
