How are you / am I being ripped off? Battery life alone makes the price difference (~$10) worth it. I literally never have to play while plugged, never have to turn off LEDs, never have to turn off rumble or any other features.
Yes, you can find the older console's controllers for as low as about $40 sometimes. But the fact is, the retail price is only $10 difference for a controller that above all has a massively better battery. The only person getting ripped off is Xbox One buyers, including myself x4. |
You need to add a category called "Working Reliably", in which the DS4 gets a NO. I've found it to be the worst first-party controller I've used.....possibly ever. The short battery life, the all-too-common charging problems, and the frequent de-syncing that many users report are really not acceptable for 2017. Maybe it could have been excused when wireless controllers were in their infancy. But, that's over a decade behind us.
