mobile and handheld aren't the same and the Switch will at most do a little above 3ds but more likely do a bit worse than the 3DS. People already left handhelds because of phones, and there will probably be a few that do the same with the Switch. The 3DS was held back by weak specs and missed out on a lot of games.

 

I'm not sure how well it will do in Japan, but I see a lot of potential in it. It's clear Nintendo dies for Japan, and it seems like Monster Hunter, Splatoon, mario, Pokemon, and others will keep it marching
