Nintendo's net sales in FY2009 (Nintendo's market peak) - 18.7 bln dollars Nintendo's net sales in FY2012 (Michael Pachter's prediction) - 7.9 bln dollars Nintendo's net sales in FY2016 (with Pokemon Go hysteria, Nes Classic sales and first launch month of Switch and Zelda) - 4.4 bln dollars. Yep. They still haven't recovered. |
Isn't that FY2017 in Nintendo's terms?
One month of Switch plus 1.5M NES Classic can't recover what the Wii U lost, especially during the holiday season
As for your last sentence, I'd think that now they have recovered, considering how Switch is selling. July 26 (the next investor's meeting) will surely show a marked increase compared to last year
