We don't know if it was in showable form or not.  We only know they were focusing on 2017 and early 2018 titles.  A big trailer for a holiday 2018 title would not have made sense.  This is all about marketing.

AC was already huge before they put it on Wii.  The DS game sold over 12 million units.  The 2 3DS FE games sold ~2 million.

Options that largely are speculated.  My point is that we know about Pokemon and MP4.  That gives them crediblity for holiday 2018.  Outside of AC, those games you listed are completely rumored or just guessed at.  How can anyone claim those games AC aside, are a more likely holiday 2018 title than Pokemon and MP4?

2018 is 2018. If they can show gameplay of Yoshi then they can show gameplay of Metroid too. I would be pleasantly surprised if i'm wrong but I don't think its ready to show.
