the OP sounds strange with the headphone volume change, the change to the system is that the volume from the headphone port will now be higher by default but they've included a feature to limit it back to the original (very low) volume which was output by it, gonna fire up MK8 and test that in a minute.
Unless I read it completely wrong... it should be a increase to volume not decrease.
