I mean, using the extra power for 4 player splitscreen is nice I guess, but single screen players getting no benefit from the higher performance in docked mode is a missed opportunity.

Maybe they learned from their mistakes on the PS4 and won't go to a resolution where they can't guarantee stable framerate.

Maybe, but even so, docked mode runs at over double the speed of portable mode. Seems wasteful to leave that untapped.
