Yea that is stupid. In general, I find relationships in games typically not well done. Arenanet, who makes Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, for example, made the story focus a TON on a gay couple. Am I against homosexuality? yes. Do others have to agree with me? No. But they made the story practically about them and most people don't play guildwars for any kind of couple relationship scenes, they want epic things involving huge battles and dragons and stuff. I just feel like developers are increasingly focusing on stating their political views in such strong ways that it takes away from them focusing on the things that people actually want out of games, making the games and the stories a lot worse.
